Hello Lovelies,

It's been a while. I hope you are keeping well and treating yourself even better. I've been working on

something really wonderful and it's all about women and success, about how we can become financially

resilient and independent, You see, the entire last year I invested a lot of time, money, and energy in learning about mindsets and wealth creation. I also got to meet amazing women like yourself. One thing I found was that women folk are incredibly smart, knowledgeable and intuitive. They carry so much potential within them. I also found that we women, many of us are consciously or unconsciously holding ourselves back. Personally I encountered a lot of mental blocks which surprised me. With the help of amazing coaches, mentors and learning programs I'm beginning to start tackling these blocks...but sometimes it feels just like the tip of the iceberg.

Anyways more on that later. Today I want to share with you the Twelve Principles of True Wealth that my mentor, a very accomplished and successful business person and entrepreneur.  I've also created a YouTube Video about these principles so that you refer to them with ease when you need to.

As always I would absolutely to hear from you about which "Mindset" is serving you well and which one is holding you back. I'd soon be running an open workshop on this topic, so let  me know if you'd like to attend these explore these mindsets...I'll be happy to add you to the invitee list.

Navigating Personal Relationships During Perimenopause and Menopause

Menopause and its precursor, perimenopause, are significant transitions in a woman’s life. They bring not only physical and emotional changes but can also impact relationships. Understanding these changes and how to manage them can help maintain and even strengthen relationships during this period.

Understanding Perimenopause and Menopause

Perimenopause is the phase leading up to menopause, where the body starts to transition and hormone levels fluctuate. This can start in a woman’s 40s but sometimes earlier. Menopause is defined as the point when a woman hasn’t had a menstrual period for 12 consecutive months, usually occurring between ages 45 and 55.

Common Symptoms:

  • Physical: Hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain, and sleep disturbances.
  • Emotional: Mood swings, anxiety, depression, and irritability.
  • Cognitive: Memory lapses and difficulty concentrating.
  • Sexual: Decreased libido, vaginal dryness, and discomfort during intercourse.

Impact on Relationships

1. Communication Challenges: Hormonal changes can lead to mood swings and irritability, making communication with partners and loved ones more challenging. Misunderstandings can occur, leading to arguments and strained interactions.

2. Sexual Intimacy: Reduced libido and physical discomfort can impact sexual relationships. This can lead to feelings of rejection or inadequacy in partners who might not fully understand the physiological reasons behind these changes.

3. Emotional Distance: The emotional rollercoaster can create feelings of isolation. Women might withdraw to cope with their symptoms, causing a perceived emotional distance in relationships.

4. Social Interactions: Fluctuating mood and energy levels can affect social interactions, potentially leading to a withdrawal from social activities and friendships.

Evidence-Based Insights

Several studies have shed light on how menopause can affect relationships:

  • Hormonal Influence on Mood: Research shows that fluctuating estrogen levels can directly affect serotonin levels in the brain, influencing mood and emotional well-being .
  • Sexual Health: A study published in the Journal of Women's Health found that nearly 50% of menopausal women experience sexual dysfunction, impacting intimacy and relationship satisfaction .
  • Communication and Support: Studies emphasize the importance of communication. Women who openly discuss their symptoms with their partners often report better relationship satisfaction .

                                               Tips and Recommendations

1. Open Communication:

  • Talk About It: Share your experiences and symptoms with your partner. Honest conversations can foster understanding and support.
  • Educate Your Partner: Encourage your partner to learn about menopause. Understanding the physiological changes can help them empathize with your experience.

2. Seek Professional Help:

  • Therapy: Couples therapy can provide a neutral space to discuss challenges and develop coping strategies.
  • Medical Advice: Consult with healthcare providers for symptom management. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) or other medications might be recommended to alleviate severe symptoms.

3. Maintain Intimacy:

  • Explore Alternatives: Consider non-penetrative forms of intimacy and focus on emotional closeness.
  • Lubricants and Moisturizers: These can alleviate vaginal dryness and make intercourse more comfortable.

4. Prioritize Self-Care:

  • Exercise and Nutrition: Regular physical activity and a balanced diet can improve mood and overall health.
  • Mindfulness and Relaxation: Practices like yoga, meditation, and deep breathing can reduce stress and enhance emotional well-being.

5. Social Connections:

  • Stay Connected: Maintain friendships and social activities to prevent isolation.
  • Support Groups: Join menopause support groups where you can share experiences and advice with others going through similar transitions.

Perimenopause and menopause are natural life stages that can bring about significant changes. These changes, while challenging, offer an opportunity to strengthen relationships through increased communication, empathy, and mutual support. By understanding and addressing the impacts of menopause on relationships, women and their partners can navigate this transition more smoothly, emerging with deeper connections and resilience.

Cultivating a Growth Mindset: Unleash Your Potential!

Hey there, fabulous friends!

Let's talk about something truly transformative: the power of a growth mindset. 🌱

In a world full of challenges and opportunities, how we approach them makes all the difference. Enter the growth mindset—a powerful mindset that empowers us to embrace challenges, learn from setbacks, and ultimately, unleash our full potential. So, grab your favorite mug of inspiration and let's dive into the wonderful world of growth mindset together!

What is a Growth Mindset?

First things first, let's define what we're talking about. A growth mindset, as coined by psychologist Carol Dweck, is the belief that our abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication and hard work. Unlike a fixed mindset, which sees abilities as innate and unchangeable, a growth mindset thrives on the belief that with effort and perseverance, anything is possible.

The Science Behind Growth Mindset

Now, you might be wondering, "Is this just some feel-good concept, or is there actual science behind it?" Well, fear not, my friends, because the evidence is in! According to research published in the *Journal of Experimental Psychology: General*, individuals with a growth mindset not only outperform their peers but also tend to embrace challenges, persist in the face of obstacles, and ultimately achieve greater success in various areas of life.

Embracing Challenges as Opportunities

In a world that often tells us to play it safe and stick to what we know, embracing challenges can feel downright scary. But here's the thing: challenges are not obstacles; they're opportunities in disguise. With a growth mindset, we welcome challenges as chances to learn, grow, and stretch beyond our comfort zones. So, the next time life throws you a curveball, remember: it's not a setback; it's a setup for growth!

The Power of Yet

One of the hallmarks of a growth mindset is the simple word "yet." When faced with setbacks or failures, instead of saying, "I can't do this," we say, "I can't do this yet." This subtle shift in language reminds us that our abilities are not fixed but rather in a constant state of growth and development. So, whether it's learning a new skill, mastering a hobby, or pursuing a passion, remember: the power of yet is your secret weapon!

Final Thoughts: Dare to Grow

As the great Henry Ford once said, "Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right."

Here's to believing in the power of yet and unleashing your limitless potential!

With love and boundless optimism,

Illuminating the Path Within: A Journey to Self-Awareness for Women

Hey there, wonderful women!

Today, let's embark on a journey inward—to explore the beautiful landscape of self-awareness. 🌺

In a world buzzing with distractions and demands, it's easy to lose sight of ourselves. But fear not, for self-awareness is the compass guiding us back to our true essence. So, grab a cup of tea, cozy up, and let's delve into the transformative power of knowing thyself!

The Science of Self-Awareness

Did you know that self-awareness isn't just a buzzword tossed around in self-help circles? It's a legitimate psychological concept backed by research! According to studies published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, self-aware individuals tend to have better emotional intelligence, stronger relationships, and greater overall well-being. By understanding our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, we gain insight into what drives us, empowering us to make more intentional choices and live authentically.

Embracing Imperfection

Let's face it: we're all beautifully flawed beings navigating this messy thing called life. And you know what? That's perfectly okay! Self-awareness isn't about striving for perfection; it's about embracing our imperfections with love and compassion. So, let go of the need to have it all figured out and embrace the messy, glorious journey of self-discovery.

Listening to Your Inner Voice

In a world filled with external noise, it's easy to drown out the gentle whispers of our inner voice. But amidst the chaos, it's crucial to tune in and listen. Your intuition is your greatest ally, guiding you towards paths aligned with your deepest desires and values. So, take a moment to pause, breathe, and trust the wisdom that resides within you.

The Power of Reflection

Ever heard the saying, "Know thyself"? Well, it holds true even in the digital age! Carving out moments for reflection—whether through journaling, meditation, or quiet walks in nature—allows us to reconnect with our innermost selves. By slowing down and tuning into our thoughts and feelings, we gain clarity, insight, and a deeper sense of connection to ourselves and the world around us.

Final Thoughts: Shine Bright, Beautiful Souls!

Ladies, self-awareness isn't a destination; it's a lifelong journey—one filled with twists, turns, and moments of profound discovery. So, embrace the messy, magnificent adventure of knowing yourself, and remember: you are a radiant beam of light, worthy of love, kindness, and all the wonders this world has to offer!

As the wise Maya Angelou once said, "I am my best work—a series of road maps, reports, recipes, doodles, and prayers from the front lines."

Embracing Your Inner Beauty: The Power of Confidence

Hey there, lovely ladies!

Let's chat about something truly magical: confidence and beauty. 🌟

In a world bombarding us with images of "perfection" and impossible standards, it's easy to feel like we're falling short. But guess what? Real beauty isn't about fitting into a narrow mold; it's about owning who you are, inside and out.

So, let's dive in and uncover the secrets to unlocking your confidence and embracing your unique beauty!

The Science Behind Confidence

Did you know that confidence isn't just a feeling? It's backed by science! According to a study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, confidence not only influences how others perceive us but also impacts our own self-perception. When we feel confident, we radiate positivity, drawing others towards us like moths to a flame. And guess what? That inner glow? Totally irresistible!

Beauty Starts from Within

Sure, makeup and skincare products can work wonders, but true beauty begins from within. When we prioritize self-care—nourishing our bodies with wholesome foods, staying active, and getting enough sleep—we're not just enhancing our physical appearance; we're boosting our confidence and well-being too. Remember, you're a masterpiece in progress, and every choice you make is a brushstroke adding to your beauty canvas.

Confidence is Contagious

Ever noticed how being around confident people makes you feel unstoppable? That's because confidence is contagious! When you exude self-assurance, you inspire those around you to do the same. So, stand tall, speak your truth, and watch as your confidence becomes a beacon of light, illuminating the path for others to follow.

Embrace Your Uniqueness

Comparison is the thief of joy, they say, and ain't that the truth! Your journey is entirely your own, filled with twists, turns, and unexpected detours. Instead of fixating on what you lack, celebrate your uniqueness. Whether it's your infectious laugh, quirky sense of humor, or the way your eyes light up when you talk about your passions, those are the qualities that make you truly beautiful.

Final Thoughts: Shine Bright Like the Diamond You Are!

Ladies, confidence and beauty aren't about conforming to society's standards; they're about embracing who you are, flaws and all. So, throw on your invisible crown, strut your stuff, and remember: you're a force to be reckoned with!

As the great Audrey Hepburn once said, "The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides."

I created a short video on the three challenges that women encounter. related to confidence and three quick strategies to counter these challenges: https://youtu.be/jrmJfI6NEPs?feature=shared

Here's to embracing our inner beauty and letting our confidence shine like the radiant stars we are!

With love and admiration, Shabnoor

Dressing Your Truth with Carol Tuttle

By July 2011 I was already a proud mother of two beautiful kids. I had moved to Germany from India. Delivered my second child, my beautiful daughter in Germany, in less than a year of our relocating. Everything had changed for me , from my body, to my country, my life.. everything. This lifestyle change came with many joys and pains... ok I'll be honest..it was  one of the hardest phases of my life.

Although I wasn't yet into my mid-life, I started feeling old , overwhelmed and worn out already. While I loved and missed my regular Indian attire like salwar kameez, kurtis and beautiful saris, I felt I had to figure out a way of dressing that practical and more importantly aligned with my new life in Germany. Something that would help me integrate faster and better. I also wanted to gain a sense of control over my life, feel beautiful and vibrant again. Through random Google searches I happened to come across this website that got me really interested. It stated that "When you understand your Type and express yourself in your style, amazing things happen. You walk through each day with more confidence. You offer your gifts to the world. And you always look amazing!". It was like a message I've been longing to here.

This is where my journey with "Live your Truth" began. Let me clarify from the onset, this post is not a paid promotion for "Living Your Truth". I'm sharing this because it truly help me gain tremendous insights into my personality type, colors and patterns that work for me, how to combine various pieces of clothing and accessories, creative ways to apply make-up that go with my "type", type of jewellery and shoes that best suit my style, all about hair and how to style it and loads more. After several weeks of visitng the blog and weaning all that was available for free I got myself a subscription. It's one of my best investments ever.

I was amazed at how all the learning impacted my looks and style and how it not only took away the years but infused a new energy. Even now, when I don't feel good about how I look I visit the "living your truth".

I also benefitted a lot from book "The Child Whisperer" which was an absolute game changer and helped me become a much better parent.
